Project Description:

Pluto LNG is a world class single onshore processing line operated by Woodside Energy on the Burrup Peninsula near Khalasar in Western Australia. It handles gas from two offshore fields, Styx and Xena. The gas is transported to the facility through a 180km (112-mile) pipeline. Woodside Energy has operated Pluto LNG safely and reliably since its inception in 2012.Train 2 of this project is the second natural gas processing line expanded on the basis of original Train 1.Annual production capacity is approximately 5 million tons (Mtpa).Woodside announced on 27 December 2018 that it has awarded bechtel the Train 2 FEED (Front-end Engineering Design) contract, with FID(final investment decision) completed in 2021, with production planned for 2025.
