Project Description:
Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical project had the capacity to process 200,000 barrels of crude oil a day imported from the Middle East, producing petrochemical products such as gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, jet fuel and polypropylene.The site of the Petrochemical project is located in the Thanh Hoa Province in Vietnam, 200 km south of the capital of Hanoi.

The Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical project is estimated to cost a total of $8 billion, including the cost of preparing the ground for the refinery and building nearby harbor facilities. Building the refinery is expected to cost slightly more than $5 billion. A Joint Venture formed by Chiyoda Corp., JGC Corp., Technip, and South Korean contractors GS Engineering & Construction and SK Engineering & Construction were awarded an EPC Contract in January 2013. JGC acting as the Joint Venture leader.
